The Sean Show
Sean Copeland
LISTEN TO SEAN COPELAND WEEKDAYS 6AM-10AM ON B105.7
Growing up in Southern Illinois, Sean Copeland’s high school Sunday School teacher owned the only radio station in the county. Thinking it would be better than getting a real job, at 16 Sean made a demo tape of him reading stories from his high school newspaper and dropped it off at the station. Thinking it would be awkward to reject someone he knew personally, the station owner/Sunday School teacher intentionally “misplaced” Sean’s tape. Months later the station owner was on a road trip with his wife when a deer ran out in front of their minivan. When they slammed on the brakes, Sean’s tape slid out from underneath the seat. The station owner’s wife
popped it into the car stereo and after a few seconds looked at her husband and said, “If you don’t hire him, there’s something wrong with you.” He hired Sean the next day. That was in the summer of 2001. From his late teens to early 20s, Sean lived in 7 cities in 6 years – doing a combination of local and network morning shows in St. Louis, Kansas City, Tulsa, Dayton, Sacramento, and eventually Indianapolis in 2009.
Sean has been hosting The Sean Show on B105.7 since 2011. He loves to put his own spin on topics like food, relationships, and current events. Here’s what some real Sean Show listeners have said…
· “I love that Sean offers perspectives that open my mind to looking at different sides of a topic.”
· “Sean is intelligent, relatable, and so refreshing compared to other morning radio shows. If it weren’t for him, I probably wouldn’t even listen to morning radio.”
· “Sean is my favorite. I feel like I know him.”
· “I love Sean’s advice and encouragement. I’ve even changed some things in my marriage because of input and advice he’s shared. I feel like he genuinely cares. Thank you!”
In addition to hosting The Sean Show, Sean is a licensed mental health therapist and an advocate for relationship health resources and access. Sean and his husband Andy live in Irvington with their fur-babies. They love playing euchre, taking weekend road trips, Colts & Chiefs football, overpriced steak dinners, and dive bars.
